🎆 Happy 4th of July from the New Holland Fire Department! 🎆
As we celebrate our nation's independence, the members of the New Holland Fire Department wish you and your family a safe and joyful holiday. We are proud to serve this community and are grateful for your continued support.
While you enjoy the festivities, we urge everyone to keep safety a top priority. Here are a few reminders to ensure your celebration is memorable for all the right reasons:
Grilling Safety:
Keep your grill at least 10 feet away from your home, deck railings, and any overhanging branches.
Never leave your grill unattended.
Ensure your grill is on a stable surface.
Keep a fire extinguisher or a bucket of water nearby.
Fireworks Safety:
The safest way to enjoy fireworks is to attend a public display.
Remember, the use of consumer fireworks is prohibited in many areas and can be extremely dangerous. Sparklers can burn at over 1,200 degrees Fahrenheit!
If you choose to use legal fireworks, please do so with extreme caution. Keep a safe distance, have a water source ready, and never allow children to handle them.
Let's work together to have a fire-safe 4th of July. From all of us at the New Holland Fire Department, have a happy and safe Independence Day!
