Stay Safe This Fireworks Season!

Hey there, Springfield! As we gear up for the spectacular fireworks displays, let's remember to keep safety our top priority! Here are some quick tips to ensure a fun and safe celebration:

1. Leave it to the Pros! Enjoy public displays conducted by professionals instead of using fireworks at home.
2. Supervise the Kiddos! Always have an adult supervise fireworks activities, especially with sparklers that burn at 2,000 degrees – hot enough to melt some metals.
3. Safety Gear is a Must! Wear protective eyewear and never hold lighted fireworks in your hands.
4. Keep a Safe Distance! Light fireworks one at a time and watch from a safe distance.
5. No Dud Redos! Never try to relight or handle malfunctioning fireworks. Soak them in water before discarding.
6. Pet Care! Keep your furry friends safe indoors to protect them from the noise.

Let's light up the sky while keeping everyone safe!
